  • Fasting: No fasting necessary. You can eat your usual food and drink water or liquids normally before coming to your appointment.
  • Medication: You should maintain and take your usual medication at the appropriate times. As always, any doubt or adjustment about your treatments should be discussed beforehand with your doctor.
  • Clothing and Accessories: You can come with the clothes you feel most comfortable in. There is absolutely no restriction on metals, jewelry, watches, or body accessories for this test.
  • Specific Requirements: The only indispensable requirement is that, if you use habitual glasses or contact lenses for near vision or reading, you take them with you or have them at hand on the day of the consultation. The test simply consists of looking at a booklet with colored circles at a normal reading distance and saying what number or path you see inside, so it will be performed in a well-lit room.
  • Expected discomfort or pain from the test: It is a completely harmless procedure, without any type of physical contact with the eye and totally painless. You will experience absolutely no discomfort; it only requires a bit of relaxed visual attention for a couple of minutes.
